Meet Alcumena, a woman so desirable that Jupiter stops the heavens so he can sleep with her. An adultery story with a faithful wife, this broken play breaks all the rules of ancient comedy. Two sets of doubles make us ask, what does it mean when you are no longer yourself?
The original tragicomedy is presented here in a fresh new verse translation from the Latin by Toph Marshall, with music composed for the production by Alex Silverman.
